-Here at the University of Kansas we had a referendum vote today to make our buses free to students and get new buses which are better for the environment. The sad part of this is that supporters of this referendum, such as myself, didn’t want to publicize it too much, because we didn’t want the idiots who throw fits at every $5 dollar fee increase to hear about it. Why? Because these same fuckers who throw a fit are the ones who are likely to say that this entire initiative is just a bunch of tree-huggers attempting to bilk them out of the money that they feel should be either rightfully theirs. It is quite funny how little these people are willing to pay to make their university any better.
-Now, I’m a proud student at the University of Kansas. I’m proud of the educational facilities that are available to me here at one of the top research universities in the Midwest. I’m also damn proud of my Jayhawk sports teams. That is why things like this Piss me the fuck off. This sad man, who seems to have never recovered from being picked last for the dodge-ball team in 4th grade, presents a compelling argument. That is, it is compelling if you completely ignore the fact that he cites no evidence of his argument. This shell of a man says that he is unable to park to get to the library on game nights, but I, as a fellow KU student, can say that, while parking near Allen Fieldhouse is a problem on those nights, finding parking for the library(on the other side of Kansas) has never been an issue for me. I think that people like this “man” should take a moment to remember what pays for a great deal of our amenities here at this institution. That’s right, it would be our revenue producing sports, such as our nationally respected basketball team.
-What exactly do the Cubs have to do to keep Kerry Wood from hurting himself? Do they need to encase him in the foam from Demolition Man? Today it was announced that the oft-injured Cubs pitcher has hurt himself getting out of his hottub. Yes, you read that right.
-Finally, everybody should go check out mybarackobama.com and get involved in Senator Obama’s presidential campaign. Why? Because it is the right damn thing to do.
